Properties

• Silane OSi HIOSil VTMOEO acts as an adhesion promoter for various mineral-filled polymers improving their mechanical and electrical properties, especially after exposure to moisture. Once bonded to an inorganic filler.

• Silane OSi HIOSil VTMOEO hydrophobes the filler surface. This effect improves the compatibility of fillers with the polymer matrix, leading to better dispersibility, reduced melt viscosity, and easier processing of filled plastics. 

• Polymer dispersion, modified with Silane OSi HIOSil VTMOEO shows improved adhesion strength in wet conditions and wet scrub resistance.

Applications

Silane OSi HIOSil VTMOEO is a vital additive in many industries such as:

• Enhances electric property and mechanical strength: As the surface treating agent for the pottery clay and siliceous inorganic filler. 

• Enhances mechanical strength of composite materials: It can reduce the water absorbability, electric properties, and mechanical strength of the cross-linked polyester mold pressing materials.

• In the glass fiber application: It enhances the binding power of resins.
