Properties

Silane OSi HIOSil MTEO has sulfhydryl-base function groups and has special efficiency when used as an antirust of the metal surface. Disposing metal surfaces (gold, silver, copper) with it, can strengthen its surface to be anti-corrupt and anti-oxidant, and improve the sticking property between the macromolecule (resin) and it. 

In the rubber industry, it's usually used to deal with inorganic filling, such as white carbon black, carbon black, fiberglass, mica, etc., which can effectively improve the mechanics performance and wear-resisting performance of the rubber. In the textile industry, it can be used in the shrink-proof finishing of the fabric.

Applications

Silane OSi HIOSil MTEO is used as additive and adhesion in applications as below:

 Glass composites: As a finish or a size ingredient

 Glass and metal primer

 Sealants and adhesives: As a primer, additive, or for chemical modification of the polymer

 Mineral filled polymer: For pretreatment of fillers and pigments or as an additive

 Crosslinker of polymers
