Silane OSi HIOSil 6701 is a reactive silane, containing both Si-H and methoxy functional groups. The SiH group can be utilized for hydrosilylation reaction.

It allows the incorporation of reactive methoxy silane groups, allowing moisture cure or improved interaction to fillers, e.g. ATH or glass surface.

Applications

Silane OSi HIOSil 6701 is used as modification by a hydrosilylation reaction.

■ Normally used as a raw material for the synthesis of other functional silanes. Its molecule contains a hydrolyzable dimethoxy group and an active hydrogen bond. Under hydrosilylation in the presence of Pt catalyst, different functional groups can be introduced to obtain various silane coupling agents.

■ It has a suitable hydrolysis speed and can achieve deep curing. It can be used as an excellent terminating agent of polyether.

■ Used to produce high-specific surface vitreous silica gel under acidic conditions.
