Applications

OSi HIOSil ES 23 is used as a curing agent in acetoxy crosslinking RTV-1 sealant formulations. Within the curing reaction, acetic acid is produced as a byproduct. Therefore, the corrosive reaction of the byproduct with substances like marble or iron has to be taken into consideration when using acetate crosslinkers.

OSi HIOSil ES 23 does not contain any additives such as catalysts, stabilizers, or adhesion promotion agents. If required, these additives have to be added to the sealant formulation separately.
